Yoko Ono has chosen Citymeals-on-Wheels as her charity partner for “Imagine Peace,” an exhibit of John Lennon’s art work that will be on display from Thursday to Sunday, October 9 to 12 at the OpenHouse Gallery in Soho. The exhibit is the largest collection of Lennon’s works on paper ever assembled, with over 100 pieces of art created by John Lennon from 1968-1980, including some new releases, rare works from the controversial “Bag-One” suite hand-signed by John in 1970, serigraphs, lithographs, copper etchings and aqua tints of John Lennon’s drawings, signed by Yoko Ono, song lyrics and the “Real Love” children’s drawings John sketched for his son Sean.  Admission is free, but there is a $2 suggested donation at the door.  Based on the fund-raising success of the exhibit in other cities, this caring gesture will bring hundreds of meals to frail, homebound New Yorkers in the months ahead.
